+bf2k+
I have 2 800XL's with ICD Rambo 256k upgrades. When I run XRAM021 to test the extended ram, both give me errors in $83. Both machines appear to work fine with SpartaDOS Ramdisk driver. Bewe ramdisk driver will not work on either. Any ideas?
MaPa
Bank $83 error and bank $87 missing? If so then it was discussed somewhere here on Aage and you certainly have 256kB total RAM not base 64kB + 256kB added (320kB total) and some banks are mapped to standard 64kB space. This is normal behaviour. It also reports bank $87 missing. I don't know why the ramdisk doesn't work, I have not tried that version. Sorry I cant help with the ramdisk, but your Rambo upgrades are probably just fine. Graham
+bf2k+
Bank $83 error and bank $87 missing? Exactly!! Yes the rambo appears to work normally on both machines. (I was going to dig out my third one and test it but I suspect the results will be the same).

classics
This is the normal result with a 192k ram expansion. There is a note in one of the XRAM readme files about it. Steve
