Man plays 36 Wow accounts at the same time

Recommended Posts

Wow, that's just freakin' insane. Seriously, though, you gotta envy his ability to multi-task. I mean, jeeze. You could make like 1000 bucks an hour doing that for some company.

It's not everyday one sees an example of total insanity. If that weirdo wanted to save money, he could've gone to a free server. I've actually fought somebody like that when I played WoW. He played as four necromancers. That guy so annoying in the battlegrounds.

Yeah, I never got the whole 'super MMO addict' thing. I play wow occasionally. I go through spurts where I play it a lot. But over THIRTY accounts?

Time to talk to the nice man at your local mental health ward.... :|

Gotta agree with you folks there. I mean I love my videogames as much as the rest of ya.. but fuckin' hell, man. Even I spend time getting out of the house and socializing.

With my work schedule and whatnot I have enough trouble handling one WoW account I don't even want to think about 36 of em.... thats $539.64 a month just for the accounts!

OK, I actually read the posts in response in this website. A poster named Vannie gives good evidence that this is all fake.

Here is his quote.

"Alright, you bunch of convoluded idiots. Time to set you straight with some rationality. It's unbelievable how gullible you all are. If this person truly had 36 WoW accounts, why, OH WHY, would he have 36 accounts with the same race? Can you not see that the image is exactly the same? The TVs are larger, and the laptops slightly skewed to fit the angle of the screen. This is not a man who has wasted thousands of dollars on 36 WoW accounts, but merely a man with either basic Photoshop skills, or else a series of wires connecting the video output of each device together to show the same image...which is actually highly unlikely for the following reasons.

None of the images of an application window border. Every application, even games, has some type of border---yes even if it's windowed.

Let's take a look at that first monitor there, with only half the screen occupied by the first "two" WoW accounts. There are no application windows/borders around either of the images, and also....where is the taskbar? where are the icons? That is unmistakably the desktop background taking up the remainder of the screen. It's definitely not a screensaver, since that's impossible. It's CLEARLY not WoW either. This should say something to you simpletons: FAKE.

Next, let's consider the two laptops in the front row. Why is there a green glare on the keyboard? The images on the screen are, for the majority, warm colours: purples, reds, oranges. There is not a scrap of green whatsoever, so how is it possible that the glare from the "WoW" accounts is GREEN?! It's the Vista desktop background, striking again. This should also speak volumes to you about the fact that this is a FAKE.

Upon closer inspection of the row of mice on the keyboard tray, something is afoot. The keyboard tray is distorted on the bottom edge, so unless those mice have really dark shadows, they were copied and pasted and aligned in that neat little row. Has no one else noticed the lack of wires or USB adapters for those mice either?

Furthermore, only one computer has a visible ethernet cable, which, as much to my understanding, is virtually necessary to play the freaking game (wireless is unreliable, ethernet is faster. Ergo, a hardcore WoW gamer such as this man is appearing to be would opt for ethernet). Since these computers are all the same, it is safe to say the ethernet port is in the same position for all of them.

This is a classic case of believing what you see by just taking it at face value, and not questioning it at all. Think, people, think."

I'm still not sure. The picture is supposed to be of his "set-up", not necessarily a picture of him engaged in a game session. It would make sense for them to "mock-up" the screens rather than just show them all black. It could just as easily be a hoax though. I think the more determining factor would be the accompanying story than the picture itself.

I don't necessarily disagree with this guy but he doesn't know what he is talking about. Window borders are easy to remove especially in, say, Linux which I run WoW in. Second, the task panel has this nifty hide feature that makes it go away. In Linux you can remove it completely. What takes up the screen outside of the WoW windows is obviously a background. I also noticed that all the accounts had the same grunt character on the screen. This is the thing that would tip me off the most. BUT, some of the screens have more characters in the list then others. It looks like different accounts with different lists of toons. If I had to take a guess, assuming this is not faked, I would say he has his bank toon selected on every account which is always going to be that race for a horde player. For wireless, a good wireless connection is much much faster then the great majority of peoples broadband connections. If you have a faster connection then a good wireless connection can provide you are an incredibly lucky SOB. A good wireless also has low latency. WoW is perfectly playable over a wireless connection.

This may very well be fake but the evidence this guy presents is merely a reflection of his own ignorance. He doesn't know what he is talking about.

Well regardless of this guys existence, there ARE people who "collect" WoW characters on multiple accounts, and I personally don't understand it..

I've played on 2-3 characters just fine, and even those take up a good chunk of time if you want to have anything in the way of a "life" [similar to what kroogur said].

..what I find most hilarious about the whole mass WoW character concept is that either way it'll all probably be wiped out in the next 10 years, when Blizzard comes to the conclusion that they're not profiting off it anymore.
