AtariDude #7 Posted September 2, 2002 Hell hath no fury like Myra scorned. Nice comic as always. You have a great sense of humor. Looking forward to the next comic strip!
+Cafeman #8 Posted September 2, 2002 HAW HAW HAW I just read them all in order. Now I "get" the flashback episodes, Nate was seeing his life flash before his eyes on Myra's return! HAW HAW HAW! You know, some of the punchlines *really* remind me of old Charles Shultz Peanuts toons -- not the current ones in the Sunday paper that have little humor but the older ones that were just about as funny as Calvin and Hobbes always was. Are you a fan of Shultz?

Ranthulfr #10 Posted September 3, 2002 You know, some of the punchlines *really* remind me of old Charles Shultz Peanuts toons -- not the current ones in the Sunday paper that have little humor but the older ones that were just about as funny as Calvin and Hobbes always was. Are you a fan of Shultz? Oh sure, I'm a fan of Schulz and it shows in the strip, no doubt. There was even a point where I realized that Myra was similar to Lucy in looks and attitude. In the strip where Nate leaves everyone in the car and Myra says "I see a pounding in his future" I considered having her say "I'm gonna knock his block off!" but I was afraid it might be seen as a rip-off instead of a humorous nod to the Peanuts. I try to be original with Game Chambers, but there are influences. Lately I've discovered SpongeBob SquarePants which is simply hilarious at times. Patrick the starfish kills me. Thanks for the comments, everyone!

+Cafeman #12 Posted September 3, 2002 I'm glad you kept it at "I see a pounding in his future", because I really laughed out loud at that one. It was really funny too (laughing right now in fact!) when she drove the rest of the way and saw that next Flea market that said "biggest in the south" and you could see Nate looking out the window, flushed. Heh, that's good stuff. I'm not even a hardcore collector like most of these folks here, yet I can relate.
ATARIPITBULL #13 Posted September 3, 2002 I must admit that I first look at the 2600 section of this site just to see if you came out with a new comic strip, there just that good.
