For anyone who enjoyed Donkey Kong, check out Pandora's Palace. It's lots of fun, and the music is catchy too.

Yeah, I forgot all about that one. It's got some really clever ideas, plus a cameo appearance by Frogger! Seriously, he's near the bottom of the screen in the second stage. Find him and you get 5000 points!

yeah, and there's a good reason I don't like it as much--but I just can't be bothered to remember it. All I remember is that I like the first one a lot more.

A few years ago my wife and I took our 3 year old daughter to Wheels Inn in Chatham for a couple of nights and they had this game. Pretty fun actually and a good workout too.

Can you imagine being the owner of an arcade, all alone at night in an empty arcade cleaning up, and seeing this game playing its attract mode? I'd probably run out screaming...

As for weird games to try , first one I can think of is Tatto Assassins. Everytime I try getting serious about playing , something strange always comes along , and I lose all interest from laughing so hard. Keep in mind , this is a prototype that never made it to the arcades.

 

And second , but only because this one gets played alot on our cab , is Space Invaders '95:Attack of the Lunar Loonies. Just all out craziness!

Odd indeed. Replete with flatulence attacks and grievous groin wounds . Obviously they were trying very hard to be more "over the top" than MK and still retain all of the play elements.

I actually like that game pretty well

 

I like that game too but there's times I really wonder if they really make Pu-Li-Ru-La for kids. The green door, the sumo butt, and the boss with the strap on whatever and this all done with trademark Taito cutesy graphics.
