birdie3 #1 Posted October 19, 2008 Any recommendations? I just got a TV that does PAL so I thought I would see what (if any) PAL exclusive games are worth getting. Thanks in advance.
jahfish #2 Posted October 19, 2008 Any recommendations? I just got a TV that does PAL so I thought I would see what (if any) PAL exclusive games are worth getting. Thanks in advance. as marco would say: Welcome to the PAL side it's a great way to get some games that are just too hard to find as NTSC ... from asterix & obelix, to klax (only came out as prototype), bomb games, etc ... many hard to find games were also re-released by Quelle and can be easily found as PAL versions ... www.atarimania.com is a good help to research what other games were available in PAL format ... enjoy! birdie3 #4 Posted October 19, 2008 I am only looking for the games that are worth owning. My criteria for these sort of games is that they must be fun and have replay value. I am not really looking for PAL games because they exist, just looking to add to the fun of playing the good 2600 titles. Any help is greatly appreicated. On the list I posted above, the following have replay value: Acid Drop Base Attack Dancing Plate Exocet Fatal Run Klax Missile Control Mr. Postman Parachute Pick 'n' Pile Seahawk Sky Alien Wall Break Wing War World End X' Mission Abandon all hope on finding any of the Home Vision titles, though. Try finding the ITT Family Games versions instead. Edited October 20, 2008 by Rom Hunter

HES's 'My Golf' ROCKS! Although I vaguely remember JerryG over at atari2600.com has reproduced this as an NTSC cart? Hmm... be nice to play this on a TV that sports the green as being 'green' instead of pink LOL! Edited October 21, 2008 by save2600
jahfish #10 Posted October 21, 2008 ITT games have some of the best labels those illustrations were taken from the perry rodan / atlan books published in germany in the sixties and seventies! also check this thread if you're curious: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...32&hl=atlan and the labels on the carts can be found here: ITT scans at atarimania

AtariRx #12 Posted October 27, 2008 The three Technovision games are all somewhat fun. Surfer's Paradise from Video Gems is another good one. Not sure if any of those exist in NTSC format other than repro conversions.
