Night Mission Pinball-speaker woes

Recommended Posts

I just got my hands on a copy of Night Mission Pinball on cartridge. I have enjoyed playing it, but I find the computer speaker sounds to be quite annoying. Does anyone know how to turn the sound to them off, or to switch the sound to the TV speakers instead?

Thanks for any replies!

Short of running it on an XL / XE series machine, there is no way to turn off the sound.

One other way is to pull the bottom case off and disconnect the speaker. of course you will loose key clicks etc.

Another solution is to find the gtia speaker and use a jumper to send it to where pokey audio goes.

Not sure if this will work tho.It could kill pokey sound.

My guess is the programmers to closely followed the apple when porting it to the Atari.

else they wanted to show off.

So far as Consol sound goes, they did a pretty amazing job.

Another solution would be to patch the game to use Pokey forced output but then you'd have to load it from disk.
