+Random Terrain #2 Posted October 22, 2008 I guess you need a special browser to see it. I allowed all scripts on the following page, but I still only see a black box: http://archives.cbc.ca/arts_entertainment/media/clips/15868/

Artlover #5 Posted October 22, 2008 (edited) I liked when the guy was mentioning interference with other tv's. How there is no FCC type of approval in Canada, but it shouldn't be a problem because it uses the same kind of electronics as electronic watches and calculators. Link works for me. I'm using Firefox. What browser are you using? Firefox 2.0.0.6. Edited October 22, 2008 by Artlover
+Random Terrain #6 Posted October 22, 2008 I'm using Firefox 3.0.3. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Atarifever #9 Posted October 22, 2008 Oh Marketplace, don't ever change. By the way look at this one about the adult games for the 2600: http://archives.cbc.ca/arts_entertainment/media/clips/15875/
Rom Hunter #10 Posted October 22, 2008 Nice! Watch this one too: http://archives.cbc.ca/arts_entertainment/media/topics/3607/ Bunch of undead asking questions to two teenage game programmers about the upcoming home computer game programming business. Talk about a generation gap. Evolution is a great game, btw. Played it a lot back then.
NE146 #11 Posted October 22, 2008 (edited) I'm using Firefox 3.0.3. I wonder if that has anything to do with it? Try another browser.. don't you have like 2 to 4 different browsers available? Or heck, here's a direct link to the vid: http://ms.radio-canada.ca/archives_new/200...es_19761112.wmv Edited October 22, 2008 by NE146

Strangely enough, as primitive as the Channel F is, it would have made all of the Pong units, even the upper line Ricochet which they all seemed to favor, seem utterly obsolete. It does work if I put it directly into WMP: http://ms.radio-canada.ca/archives_new//20...es_19761112.wmv Weird. It would be nice to figure out why that site doesn't work for me instead of switching to another browser. +Random Terrain #15 Posted October 22, 2008 (edited) Fixed it! I had to do what it says here: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using+...in_is_installed And then I had to enable the plugin. It wasn't enabled by default. Video plays fine now. Edited October 22, 2008 by Random Terrain

Strangely enough, as primitive as the Channel F is, it would have made all of the Pong units, even the upper line Ricochet which they all seemed to favor, seem utterly obsolete. Was it available in Canada when the segment was produced? At first I wondered the same thing about the Channel F; that would be my guess as well that it wasn't available in Canada at the time. Would've been interesting to have seen a review of it, if it was. Maybe there are some elsewhere on the site and I just need to look around.
Great Hierophant #18 Posted October 25, 2008 Did anyone else notice that no TV featured in the program has a 4:3 aspect ratio? I had no idea widescreen tubes existed back in the day!

shadow460 #20 Posted October 26, 2008 Video's not working here, either. All plugins are installed and enabled. I got it to go once when I opened something on top of the page, but now the controls are all grayed out.
