Well, just started the arcade collection

Recommended Posts

So, I picked up my first arcade game today. :)

It's a cabaret jamma system with a Pac-Man conversion running Ms Pac-Attack. I'll probably put a standard Ms Pac-Man in there in the near future or maybe one of those multi-kits. Can anyone recommend a multi-kit that they like?

60 in one kits work pretty well and support your existing monitor or a VGA monitor. Usually about $100 shipped. Google RGVAC, there are always someone selling 48 in 1's and 60 in 1's.

Have fun with the new toy, the hobby is addictive!

Don't you need a scan doubler to use a VGA monitor or are we talking about two different things? The kit I was thinking of is so you can have Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man and maybe a couple of the other Pac hacks on one ROM chip with the games being selectable through a menu. Is that the same thing you are talking about?

Hi, the one I was talking about is Jamma and has several pac's,like jr pacman and super,ms,and just pac,as well as galaga, galaxian, arkanoid etc.No mod needed for vga hookup with this board,it has a standard vga out, I have one hooked up to a 21" vga flat screen and it looks great! With vga crt's a dime a dozen now,it's a great thing.

The one you mention is a Blaze board I think, they made speed ups and multi pacs. Just google Blaze and pacman and you should be able to find your way.I was looking recently and they are still sold.

OK, I see you are talking about replacing the board.

If you are looking for a kit to add to a Pac board, I recommend the 96-in-1 MultiPac. That's what I have in my Ms. Pac cocktail.

Now that's more what I was thinking about. :)

I'll probably have to pick one of those up in the near future.

By the way, how do you play Pengo on there, don't you need a fire button for that?

Pengo, Eyes, Alien Armada, and Pac-Rabbit use the Player One Start button. Mr. & Mrs. Pac-Man can only be played on a cocktail table. One person is Pac and the other is Ms. Pac and you play at the same time!
