Orders only>>5200 Thumbstick style controllers. Ready ones gone for now!

Recommended Posts

I have decided from many requests to make a few of these little gems. The controllers are made in a 6 X 3 X 2 box, 12 green heavy duty horn switches, 3 red heavy duty horn switches, 2 heavy duty chrome switches, a cut to size OEM stick is used for the controller movement, and the OEM controller cable is used to make this HANDY, pun intended, little joystick. Guaranteed to work. These are not self centering but NOS boots are used to make the stick move to the middle easier than an old used one. This works fantastic and have been durability tested with the old drop from over my head to the ground technique. NOTE: I won't do this to your controller. lol After 5 drops it still worked perfect. These take about 4 hours to create from start to finish. There is a whole lot of cutting to size, fitting, etc. that has to be done. I do have a fulltime job also and would be doing this after work. Anyone who wants one the price will be $60 shipped. If you want 2 the price is $100 shipped. Payment can be made at the time you order. PM me for the details. I can take Postal Money orders too. Internationally I will have to check the shipping. Please, ask me any questions with concerns or whatever you may have a question about. Here are the pics of what they look like. The pics are a little fuzzy. I am having focus issues with my camera. :x Thanks..............

These are also being discussed in this thread also. http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...view=getnewpost

Just lowered the price if you buy two controllers! Now $100 shipped for two! Won't go any lower. Especially for a gauranteed item! No fail buttons. And they are Green.

Last one that was ready is now gone! I have to wait for the parts for the rest to come in. Feel free to place an order and I'll get it to you once I get the parts and get them built. Only 5 more for now will be made!!!

I got mine. This thing is awesome. It should be my primary controller for 5200. I like this one way better than the previous iterations. It kind of plays more like an NES controller, but with a different 5200y style. Check it out!

Thanks ianoid. I really tried hard to get the feel of an NES or Genesis controller. Thanks for the bump too.

I got mine last week, I just got around to testing them yesterday...

REVIEW:

These things are pretty awesome. I tested them with a TON of games and they really work well with just about every game (the exception being the obvious, like Kaboom, Super Breakout which really can only be truly enjoyed with a paddle).

The top mounted fire buttons have a really durable feel which was my one complaint with the stock controller. You can pound the hell out of them and they'll still work. The Start, Pause, and Reset on the side work out pretty well also. I know it was mentioned in another thread that the position of them might lead to accidentally pushing one while playing but actually it's pretty impossible to accidentally hit them. The num-pad buttons are again very durable. Works really good on Realsports BBall, and ESPECIALLY Defender.

Best of all the sticks *almost* self center (well, best of all for those of you that hate the stock controllers). Either because the sticks are cut down short(er) or because the rubber boot is pretty firm I don't know...maybe both...Believe it not...GORF is even playable...

For no particular reason I was skeptical, but I actually took the plunge and bought two and I'm glad I did. If anyone is on the fence I would highly recommend these. Definitely worth the $$
