Cybergoth #1 Posted October 31, 2008 Hi there! I have a question regarding this series. Are the three games just totally separate entities, like the Zelda games for example, or are those three under the hub of a bigger storyline arc like e.g. the Resident Evil series? I'm basically wondering wether I should just start into MP3, or if I should better play the other two first. Greetings, Manuel
Pixelboy #2 Posted October 31, 2008 Hi there! I have a question regarding this series. I'm basically wondering wether I should just start into MP3, or if I should better play the other two first. Greetings, Manuel The Prime series is set between Metroid (or Metroid Zero Mission, whatever you prefer) and Metroid II, and is indeed part of a large story arc (usually referred to as the Phazon story arc). However, each game is independent enough (story-wise) that playing the games out of order is no big deal. Still, playing the games in the proper order is recommended if you really want to get into the story. I've heard a serious report on the Metroid IGN boards that the first two Prime games will be re-released with MP3-style Wii controls in Japan. Since the Metroid series has always sold better in North America, I'd say it's a sure bet that both these "Wiimakes" will be released here within a year or so.
