Zeptari1 #1 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) Did any of you have trouble with Guitar Hero 3 at any point? I became frustrated with the song Raining Blood, on easy! I have all the other songs on the easy setting with 5 stars! Yet I can't even finish (as in complete) the song on easy!!!! Damn, it just seems so unbalanced! BTW do they sell rock band 1 and 2 disc only? and will it work with the 360 GH guitar? -rick Edited November 8, 2008 by Zeptari1

I will say that Guitar Hero 3 is the hardest one of these games in my opinion (excluding the difficulty created by broken hammer-on/pull-off sequences in the original GH.) Rock Band is very easy on guitar and the new Guitar Hero also seems a good deal easier than GH3. Rock Band 2 has ratcheted up the difficulty from the last game. GH guitars do work with Rock Band. moycon #3 Posted November 9, 2008 I had trouble playing any song on easy the one time I played Rock Band on PS2. I think maybe I suck at these games. My girlfriend really digs the drums though so I imagine Santa will bring Rock Band 2 for Xmas. In other words.... I have no clue if GH3 is un-balanced because I suck. Shannon #4 Posted November 9, 2008 It is my experience in rock band that the shorter songs are harder to 5 star if you make enough mistakes. I usually concentrate on getting the notes and dont worry to much about activating my star power when going for 5 stars. Star power gives you more points but plays no part in how many stars you get. NE146 #5 Posted November 9, 2008 I've been playing on and off since it came out (on Hard) and I still have yet to pass Reign in Blood at all. I even tried "practicing" it on the slower speeds and going through sections, but it eludes me. Granted I haven't tried non-stop, but I do give it a once or twice pass at least once a month No dice though Ironically, I can play the thing no problem on a regular guitar

When i can 5 star all the songs on easy except for one! Ahhh raining blood, I can't even finish it! stupid slayer! I played it on medium last night, and to my surprise I got 4 stars on 3 songs! And collected enough money to unlock the "track master" achievement. big deal 5 points! -rick BTW: how about a .mp3 of you playing raining blood? I'd like to hear it. The MilkMan #9 Posted November 10, 2008 BTW do they sell rock band 1 and 2 disc only? and will it work with the 360 GH guitar? -rick Yeah, In fact, when the time comes I'm just going to buy the RB2 game disc, and the Sunburst Fender (the black and white one comes in the special edition kits). But I cant answers about GH guitars working with RB....sorry. Weird, my buddy has RB2 for the PS3, and I found it easier to play (guitar...on hard settings) than RB. Who knows though, because by the time we are ready to play (usually 3 of us), it's been about 4-5 beers later.
keilbaca #10 Posted November 10, 2008 Yes its stupidly harder than the others. I play on expert, and when I'm sitting there with a 5* on one, and I didn't pass Raining blood yet... yeah. Its just overcharted. I can pass it now, but its still just stupid hard. Same with Through the Fire and Flames. Why did they decide to chart everything including the guitar? The intro was just unnecessary. Aside from that, yes I can beat TTFAF.
Gabriel #11 Posted December 3, 2008 Raining Blood is total BS. It's not a good song. It's not fun to play. It's just a roadblock. I finally managed to pass it on Medium, and I'll never play it again. It's vastly more difficult than anything else.

Why the hell did they do this? I wanna play a guitar game that's fun. Not one that makes me wanna smash it! -rick I'm still gonna get GH2... someday... maybe GTWT, disc only.
