GameCube portable monitor problem.

My portable monitor has been having problems, in that the screen just goes crazy like a VCR with a broken tracking device. The sound comes out fine, but the video is busted. I'm wondering if I need to try using the direct AV connection instead, but I can't find the adaptor thing. Any ideas as to what might the problem be?

Do you mean it scrolls, or like blinks on and off? I would suggest cleaning both ends of the video cable you use and the ports on the monitor if possible. It could be just dirty, but as a cheap solid state monitor with a dedicated tuner, it could be burning out (the tuner I mean) I've only seen one TV tuner burn out in my life and it just got really fuzzy on some channels untill it burned out completely.

 

Hopefully it's just a dirty connection though, those LCD's practically last forever unless they get dropped or the screen poked.
