HFK #1 Posted November 9, 2008 Ok, I thought that the idea for the Motorodeo and Ikari poll were long overdue, hopefully we will see something happen with the results. I think it is time to go through the rest though. Not every cart but right now the carts just wrong like blue label Skiing, the other end of the spectrum, carts rated way too low. What carts do you think need to be higher? Lets discuss and maybe agree to take opinions on a few. Should not this site be the end all be all of Atari? +Omegamatrix #2 Posted November 9, 2008 I agree the rarity guide is pretty good, just needs a little tweeking on a few titles. Motorodeo and Ikari are so long overdue!! I have no idea how many members have a blue label skiing, but it is by far the hardest Activision blue label to get and I'm lucky to have one. To avoid any confusion here the Pic label Skiing is also blue, but we're talking about the late release text label carts Activision did. This is the one. Dino #3 Posted November 9, 2008 There are 3 threads in the rarity guide section - 1 for R10s, R9s and 1 for R8s. We had even come up with new lists for each of these categories. Why not revisit those lists. Once we agree on the R10, 9 and 8, we can then look at the other categories

Like Dino said, better check out the Rarity Guide topics first to see what can be added or removed from these lists: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showforum=15 Don't forget to check the PAL Rarity Guide as well: http://www.retroreview.com/paldatabase/Index.php Edited November 9, 2008 by Rom Hunter
AtariLeaf #5 Posted November 9, 2008 I have a few Blue label activision games like space shuttle, keystone kapers, boxing, and enduro. No skiing though. I wonder what exactly makes the skiing blue label rarer than the others. Less made? If so why? Was it not a popular enough game to produce many with that label to sell it late in the Atari's life? Red 5 #6 Posted November 9, 2008 I have mentioned Blue Skiing a couple of times. It was the last Activision title I got and by far the most difficult. Silver label asteroids was another major pain to find. Glacier Patrol took me a million years to find and I still haven't found Universal Chaos although I have been actively searching for that title for 3 years. Red Label 'Super Baseball' is certainly not a '2' either. Should be a 4. Those are the glaring lower rarities that need to be fixed I think.
13BEAST #7 Posted November 9, 2008 I searched the Atariage and PAL rarity guides, and neither seemed to have P-Label Joust listed. Would anyone care to help me out with determining the rarity of that?
HFK #8 Posted November 9, 2008 I searched the Atariage and PAL rarity guides, and neither seemed to have P-Label Joust listed. Would anyone care to help me out with determining the rarity of that? I have one of those too. They don't seem to be all that rare, if a regular Joust is a 2 this is maybe a 3? Or is this hard to come by? I might be biased because I've had it for years from a larger lot so I have never tried to find one.

I bought a lot on ebay, 2 2600s, 31 games, paddles, joysticks, etc, and I was checking out the rarity on the games and notices that the P label Joust wasn't listed in either of the rarity guides. I assume it is the same rarity as the silver label Joust, but I'd like to know from those in the know There were a few games that I had which were Unknown rarity...I assume they are so common that to attach a "rarity" value to them would be counter intuitive? I donno...

Red 5 #13 Posted November 9, 2008 It was the last Activision title I got and by far the most difficult. Red, do you have a white label Decathlon? I have white label Space Shuttle, does that count? I choose not to believe in such things as White Decathlon labels and Sears Superman picture labels. It allows me to sleep at night.
