Celeb voices in games

So when I first started playing Fallout 3, I was surprised to hear Liam Neeson(sp?)'s voice as the father in Fallout 3. Man, that guy's everywhere. Then I heard Malcom McDowell's voice, all too often on the radio in same game. Mind you, he also was an actor in a Wing Commander game. A quick search of IMDB shows what celebs did whatever.

 

Even though it has been happening for years, it's still funny to see Hollywood actors/actresses doing voiceover work in video games. Sometimes you see some fun oddities:

 

1. Michael Rappaport was in GTA3 AND a competitor: Saints Row. IIRC Saints Row had a developer or 2 from Rockstar.

 

2. The guy that does the Engineer voice in Team Fortress 2 was a regular cast member of "Eight is Enough". On a YouTube vid featuring him singing, some commenter left "SPY'S SAPPIN MAH SENTRY"

 

And I bet there's more, but I'm tired.

Michael Dorn....I remember him doing the voices for Stellar Fire on Sega CD. I thought that was cool at the time.

What about that Die hard game with the actor from "The Fifth Element" ? I have allways wanted to play that game after seeing the whole place burning with whats his face with the flame thrower.

Michael Dorn also did a bunch of voices in World of Warcraft.

 

Shame on you for mentioning Liam Neeson and Malcolm McDowell in Fallout 3 but totally neglecting Ron Perlman! His voice is practically synonymous with the series, in fact. "War. War never changes." In the first Fallout, Richard Dean Anderson also did a voice.

 

I'd say that David Hayter has become a celebrity in his own right (hell, he wrote the screenplay for X-Men 2).

Michael Dorn also did the voice for the Super Mutant NPC in Fallout 1. For the life of me...I can't remember the mutant's name. The guy who played 'Monk' on TV did a voice in Fallout 1, also. I believe he played Aradesh, the leader of the settlement of Shady Sands. David Warner also did a voice for Fallout 1.

Using Ray Liotta's voice in Vice City was awesome! Really added something to the general atmosphere of the game.

Keith David is in pretty much everything. He's a great voice actor(he gave the Arbiter life in Halo 2) and does tons of voice work in games and commercials(he does the Army Strong commercials). He also does some acting but to a much smaller degree.
