wOW!!! tHAT'S INSANE! eSPECIALLY WHEN IT APPRAISED FOR 24,000 - 36,000. That's insane too!!! 1181.gif

I loved Mad magazine as a kid and I even still have a few of the old issues in my room but this guy is a true lover!!! with his kind of money he must be Wonders brother.

You could a pretty nice house for that. Sure not in every area in the world but in many places in the US this would be enough.

I forgot about the US housing slump,in Australia that wouldnt even buy a quarter acre block of land

Even before the slump 200k+ was enough to buy a nice house in most of the US. There are exceptions.

You could get a fine house in quite a few places, outside of California and the top 10 major metropolitan areas, at least close in. Especially with foreclosures as they are. Eeeek!

US$200k is the equivalent of AU$300k. You can get a very nice house for that in Australia. I said "house", not "house and land" ;)

 

Edit: Just checked the Herald Sun and the median house price in some Melbourne suburbs is $290k
