Video #26 Posted November 26, 2008 I love them, the SNES one was cooler IMO, and it had the parachute drop thing that is a mini game on every modern cellphone, but wasn't on the 64 IIRC. I was kinda suprised there wasn't one for the Game Cube, or maybe I missed it somehow? I mean, that's like FZero, Starfox, or Mario, you can't really do a Nintendo system without them. Atariboy #27 Posted November 27, 2008 (edited) I think theres skydriving on the N64 version too, with you having to perform various formations with other skydivers before landing. Not as fun as the skydiving in the SuperNes version though thanks to having to perform the various formations. Edit - Here's a YouTube video of one of the skydiving missions. fdurso224 #28 Posted November 27, 2008 Hi guys, What I also liked in the N64 version is the mission of being shot from the canon and hit Mt. Rushmore with Mario as replacing George Washington and hitting him right on his honker and Wario comes out of nowhere. Classic Nintendo!! Anthony..... Nameko #29 Posted November 27, 2008 I picked the N64 version up a few years ago . Never got far. I should give it another go this weekend.
Reaperman #30 Posted November 27, 2008 (edited) I've never really been impressed with the game--though that's true of a lot of games I play only in emulators. That's going to change however, as I've recently bought the SNES version in a large lot (link) and will finally have the chance to play it 'IRL' instead of the make-believe land of emus. kevincal #31 Posted November 28, 2008 I've never played the SNES version but I absolutely love the N64 version... That game totally puts me in a trance. The game is just so mellow and fun as well. The music is outstanding in PW 64...
Atariboy #32 Posted November 28, 2008 (edited) You should pick up the SuperNes version, I bought both Pilotwings titles at the same time around 5 years ago, and its still as enjoyable as it probably was to play in 1991. kevincal #33 Posted November 29, 2008 I first played PilotWings 64 in the Fall of 1996. Around the time it came out. I'm sure I would like PilotWings on the SNES, but I highly doubt I will like it as much as PW 64. I will pick up PW on the SNES someday for sure though... boek #37 Posted December 14, 2008 My dad played it more than I did (SNES version). The only thing I was half-decent as was the parachuting course. Now I have the theme song/failing a course song stuck in my head...
