Greenpeace Appropriates Mario, Master Chief, and Kratos

Recommended Posts

wow.

I should have known something was wrong last time I was shoveling coal into the furnace attached to my genesis/32x/cd...

I like fresh air and clean rivers as much as the next guy, but game companies have enough trouble making systems that just work--much less have to test green materials in the process. xbox 360 would be like 3 times cleaner if they just increased their reliability.

Like I said in another thread, some people just won't be happy until we're back living in trees. Even if the major companies did put all their resources into making "green" systems, the next week these people would be saying "But you use toxic dye in the labels!" or "Each system must double as a tofu maker!"

Agh...

And this would be wrong exactly how?

I am a little surprised by some of the short sightedness here to be honest. I mean, they have a point.

Companies need to think about stuff like this. Have a responsibilty to, in fact.

Not saying that I'm all about Greenpeace or anything, but making excuses for companies who pollute the earth and cracking tofu jokes is a) not terribly intelligent and b) an example of everything that's wrong with consumerism as a whole. "I like buying this product, so I don't care"
