Pac Man Arcade Screenshots?

Recommended Posts

Dang man it's been nearly a decade since this thing came out.. amazing :P

I still even have the mockup I did that actually led up to the hack. I still remember basing it off Ms. Pac and seeing how it'd translate to "A Better Pac-Man".

When Rob Kudla (who I was communicating with via email) actually went and made it.. I just about flipped  Aahh the good old days.

One more question on this emulator subject.

Some of the games start when you pusch the space bar and others do not.

What do you punch for "start" on the non spacebar games?

Thanks

First off all, sorry for my previous outburst/mini rant. It's just that work has been very hectic lately, and I haven't had a chance to work on Stella for almost 2.5 months. I get really fidgety when I want to work on something (ie, Stella) and something else always pops up to keep me away from it. I'm looking forward to 3 weeks vacation over Christmas to work on Stella again (yes, I'm a geek :) ).

Anyway, to answer your question, the reason some games don't start when pressing the spacebar is the same reason they wouldn't start on a real system; you need to press reset first (by default, F2 in Stella). Some games let you get right to the action by pressing the fire button, and others require a reset first. Stella accurately emulates that.

And on the topic of zip files, I still can't see why it wouldn't work for you. Please include the version of Windows you're using, and which program you're using to open the zip file (WinZip, Total Commander, etc). I really want to get this issue fixed, if it can be fixed.

Thanks again for your help.

I am using Windows XP Professional on this notebook machine and I tried to open it with Winzip.
