Program a computer? A game? Your VCR?

I'm going to assume your rather vague request deals with Atari 2600 Programming. Well, you're in luck! There's a forum here at AA named - you guessed it - Atari 2600 Programming.

Look around, do some research, try out bB if you want to leap in and get your feet wet, and just go nuts.

Be aware that you're jumping in pretty near the deep end of the pool programming the 2600. I'd definitely recommend starting with batari Basic (bB). The other option, assembly language programming, can be intimidating even without the peculiar constraints of the 2600 hardware.

From what ive read everywhere, back in the day,the 2600 was the HARDSET console to program for, bar none. Was that because of the 2600's limitations or because it was just simply hard to program for limited or not?
