CV Gus #1 Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) Have you ever built or redesigned a controller for a particular game? Pitstop. One of my more recent is a modified Driving controller for the CV. One of the main features ia the plug for TWO pedals: the other is a brake that, in the case of Pitstop, acts as a brake (by acting as if you pull down on the joystick- don't forget the diode!). This required a different cable, though. It is also powered directly from the Roller Controller. I suppose the same could be done from the CV itself. +Stephen #2 Posted December 3, 2008 I built a custom rotary controller (using an optical encoder) so I could properly play Tempest 2000 on the Jaguar. I also built a (rather large) arcade stick for the Jaguar. It had an 8-way digital stick, the 8 buttons the pro-controller provided (A,B,C,X,Y,Z,L,R) and separate small buttons for the complete number pad and pause/option). I got all the parts from Happ controls. Unfortunately, the optical encoder I used has been unavailable for years. Stephen Anderson
Rob Mitchell #3 Posted April 3, 2009 I built a custom controller using an old Atari Pinball console. I use it to play all the pinball games on: Atari, Vectrex, Bally Astrocade. In place of the paddle knob I put a driving controller .. and hot glued a bunch of pennies in the black knob to get the feeling of a heavy knob spinner. I also use some of the original console switches for functions. I put a toggle switch on the back to select between pinball and spinner. I also have lots of digital to analog circuit adapters that I have wired together to use the Starplex 5 button controller on the Vectrex and the 5200. Plus simple adapters to play on the Bally Astrocade and the O2. Rob
