All good. Although Verzerk sounds very strange, and a lot different than the versions on YouTube (which are using emulation and not an AtariVox+). "Intruder" sounds like "In troy oh er". Is there some difference between the old VecVoice and the backwards compatibility here?

No

 

The original VecVoice used the GI SPO256. The SpeakJet (in the AtariVox) has the same allophone set (and a few extras), so the microcontroller (in the AtariVox+) uses a lookup table to selects them in real time (during the serial data stream).

Are the current revisions of the Avox+ using the same switch selections? I guess my question is, is there a way to tell the difference between the one that are fixed vs the ones that had issues with some of the 7800 homebrews like the one I had where I ended up removing the PIC from it to at least work with Atari games reliably at the expense of no Vectrex support?

The PDF links seem to work for me. Maybe it's a browser thing.
