Space Shuttle flight deck console overlay

Hey, does anyone know where I can find a Flight Deck Console overlay for Space Shuttle? I bought a sealed version of this game thinking one would come with it but alas it did not. Must have been a later release. I made one but would really like the original.

ive bought a ton of these trying to get the console overlay i lost for my big sexy 6 switcher that came with space shuttle when i bought it back in the day and I've never found one. even got a shrink wrapped 2600 box that i opened and found the 5200 version inside... lol.

Your best bet for now might be to print one out.

I've only seen pics of them myself so a copy may be your best bet.

 

Did they only come in the earliest release of the game? I'm also assuming a 6-switch and 4-switch version was provided.

It's interesting you mentioned that. I had spoken with someone who mentioned that in an attempt to save money, later releases for the 5200 were indeed put in 2600 boxes with a sticker on the shrinkwrap to hide it. I thought the guy was pulling my leg.

I've bought 2 sealed copies for the 2600 - neither had the overlays either.

I bought a loose version and have the manual and the overlay, so i guess i'm lucky.

That overlay is just one part of a few 2600 bits that always seem to wind up missing from action :-(

Wow, didn't realize I had something rare, having both overlays. I scanned them in as pdfs (600dpi) so you have something until you get your hands on the original. These should be easier to print correctly than a jpg.

 

NOTE: When printing, turn off any Page Scaling (i.e. set to None) so it prints out true to the original size. You will need 14" long paper to print the "both" scan. 8.5" x 11" paper will work for 6-switch scan.

8-bit Robotron.

 

2600 & the 8-bit version of Spy Hunter come with a smaller hard plastic coupler that fit inside a normal sized 2600 box.

You should. I think it may be one of the more complex games for Atari. You won't pick it up in 10 minutes though but worth the effort I think. I know it's the closest I'll get to flying the shuttle!
