Hah! I had one of those go bad on me 2 nights ago!! I was testing a format program on it and it eventually quit formatting - thought it was my program being flaky at first. But my program worked fine on a new disk!!

I can tell you one thing--I recently tested a whole bunch of original Atari ST software (on 3.5" disks) and only about half of them still worked. I have a ton of old 8-bit disk software, and I bet they've fared much better..

Me too, the Amiga and St stuff I have on 3 1/2 has not fared well, less than half work, however I recently loaded a resume from 1985 and it still worked fine with atariwriter. Almost all my floppy games as well. funny
