NES cart with missing contacts

I have a Shadowgate cart that isn't working. The contacts aren't dirty - but I'm missing six of them on each side! Is there any way I can fix it, or am I stuck with a non-working cart?

Some carts don't have all the contacts. I doubt anyone went to the trouble of removing the actual contacts on a cart. It's likely that your NES is really dirty, actually. Give the system itself a good cleaning, then clean the cart for good measure. If not that, the ROM board may be bad, or the battery has finally died and is causing it not to work. Try replacing the battery and see if that helps. Good luck!
