An Atari 5200 delema?

Recommended Posts

I came across a pretty beat 4 port 5200 model this weekend. Came with a bunch of commons 2 beat joysticks & power supply. What it did not come with is the RF unit? I'm not sure If anything works! Anyone have the 4 port RF unit I could test the system with? I just need to know if the system is dead or not. If this guy works I'll sink the cash in getting a rf unit and rebuilding the joysticks.

Well, if you want to take a three-hour drive your welcome to try it on one of mine. Unfortunetly you are at the top of Mass. and I'm more towards the bottom of CT. Hopefully somebody who is closer can let you borrow one.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm right on the verge of attempting to convert my 4 port over to use a normal TV switch box.

It dosen't appear to be that hard and I'm pretty good with a solder iron. I really wish I knew

for sure if this thing worked before I started to do anything to it. It won't cost me much for a couple of

cap's, some wire and spare time. Thanks for the offer just the same. If I chicken out I just might take

you up on it. Joe R.
