GameboyReviewer #1 Posted December 15, 2008 If they made a movie based on the game would you pay to see it? Keep in mind the bunch of bad video game based movies. Oh and who would you like to be in it?
Sayton #2 Posted December 15, 2008 I think with my then obsession of SI a few years ago, I should be in the movie. I still have all my score sheets (I played everyday at least one game for 2 months straight). I pulled off a score of over 200k AND I performed a feat where I destroyed the UFO BEFORE the next screen change (I had every invader destroyed with the UFO left, and I destroyed it before next screen change...that was my goal back then). Oh, you also have to keep in mind I couldn't roll the score prior to that whatsoever...then I just got really good!

Skylark68 #4 Posted December 15, 2008 Uwe Boll - Director Vin Diesel - Commander of the player's spaceship All of the elves used in "Fred Claus" dressed up in alien costumes to be the enemy. Philip Seymour Hoffman as the mothership. Seriously, a Space Invaders movie would be pretty awesome with the right cast and director.
Sayton #5 Posted December 15, 2008 Yeah, back then I could destroy the screen without missing an invader. And I was so quick the mother ship wouldn't appear. I had a nice little pattern going on. And as for the mother ship and getting points, I don't know. I was just to excited about destroying it before screen change. It's alot harder than it sounds. Deteacher #7 Posted December 15, 2008 I probably wouldn't pay to see it. Movies based on video games just don't "do it" for me. Video games based on the movies seem to do well, but rarely the other way around.

BassGuitari #10 Posted December 16, 2008 I would not. There's no conceivable way a movie based on Space Invaders could be interesting for an hour and a half and still be Space Invaders. Unless it was about the development of the game, the people who made it, and its eventual cultural impact or something.
missioncontrol #11 Posted December 16, 2008 I would not pay to see the movie. Hollywood's been out of ideas for years and every time they try to make a movie tied into another product hoping to fill theater seats, the movie ends up crap.....

I fully agree...just went to see "Max Payne" a few weeks ago and I was rather disappointed. And in comparison to SI Max Payne offers a storyline to develop a movie from...... No, I won't pay to see a SI movie!
Jason73 #13 Posted December 20, 2008 Because it's my favorite Atari game I would pay to see it. I might complain about it later, but still I coudn't resist. I'm king of surprised they didn't make a Saturday morning cartoon based on it.
