Fretwobbler #5 Posted September 9, 2002 I reckon, if you looked at the code for Seaquest it would be very similar, and there would be a lot of overlap, with the code from frostbite. If you think of the mechanics of the game there is really not that much differant.
Big Player #6 Posted September 9, 2002 @Fret. Cartwright did the same thing with Plaque Attack. He used the code from Megamania as a start so he could get the game finished quickly. IMHO, it shows. PA is a much weaker game than Megamania.

PA is a much weaker game than Megamania. Ive thought this before with other Activision games, look at the bats in Pitfall 2 and H.E.R.O. - if you stop the left-right movement in P2 what have you got?, a bat from H.E.R.O. StanJr #8 Posted September 9, 2002 yeah, but I kind of like that overlap. Gives the Activision games a cohesiveness. And I LIKE Plaque Attack, its a little more innovative than Megamania in that you have to protect the teeth and the attack comes from ALL directions! Big Player #9 Posted September 9, 2002 Plaque Attack is more innovative than Megamania. I just find Megamania more fun to play.
Cap5750 #10 Posted September 9, 2002 Yeah...the laser from Laser Blaster is the line in fishing derby! Actually, David Cartright talks about this in the retroradio interview...that is the fact that they'd take something they already had and try to do something new with it. ROBERT #13 Posted September 9, 2002 Hello fellow gamers: COOL...with 385K I'm still in 4th place...but it's a heck of a crawl to get to the top spot and tie Todd & David. One day I have to try this baby again.
