pangasinan #27 Posted December 18, 2008 If I ever want to torture myself with Quadrun, I'll just use my Atari Club cart. Piece of trivia, only 2 of those exist. But its only a homebrew that more can be made of,isnt it ??
Spirantho #28 Posted December 19, 2008 Good luck. It's a weird game to figure out. Read the manual and it still won't make any sense. I wonder if anyone's put a walkthru on YouTube or anything? I'd love to know what the heck I'm supposed to be doing in that game. I'm just about to start my Xmas holidays - and I've got a high score over 100,000 on Quadrun. If I get chance would you like me to video how to play it? Yes, I enjoy playing Quadrun. Maybe that makes me strange, who knows....?

keilbaca #31 Posted December 19, 2008 I'll have to make a video of me playing quadrun. That'll give me something to do this weekend. I average 120k or so, so I'll do like 2-3 minute splits then cut off to a higher score, etc. Honestly the game does not get any harder past the crazed wave. What is hard is to get a high score you can only miss 7 times.
Christophero Sly #32 Posted December 19, 2008 I still think it would be neat to base the thresholds on Atari model #'s. Something like... 65 130 400 800 1200 2600 5200 7800
Spirantho #33 Posted December 22, 2008 Right, I've made a short video of me playing Quadrun. Really fascinating, I know. But hey, it might help. The linky: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Xx5NHWT-Nng Watch it and weep. But it may give you some idea of how I play it. It's actually quite fun on the later levels..... Godzilla #34 Posted December 22, 2008 Nice video, shows how the game mechanics work. I've always enjoyed the high-speed teleportation elements
DDCecil #35 Posted December 22, 2008 Ah yes, Quadrun.... "Does it come with the box, or the docs, or does it come complete? I walked into the thrift store not expecting something so darn sweet As I approached the glass case I couldn't believe my eyes That's when I decided to ask a nearby employee to please take out my prize. As I brought it up to the girl working the cash register, she rang it up one dollar and you know I just had to thank her! I'm in shock, I must have incredible luck, it's Quadrun for a buck A Complete Quadrun for a buck! I'm in shock, I must have incredible luck, I can't believe it: Complete Quadrun for a buck! So there it was in my hand A holy grail for the Atari fan I hid the bag under my arm to make sure no sumguy saw my prize The only thing I knew about the game Was one of its claim to fame Available through the Atari Club, for a limited time The box was mint Manual never touched The cartridge in such pristine shape you know that this was worth so much! I'm in shock, I must have incredible luck, it's Quadrun for a buck A Complete Quadrun for a buck! I'm in shock, I must have incredible luck, I can't believe it: Complete Quadrun for a buck!" Sorry, no third verse (Yet).
