sandmountainslim #1 Posted December 24, 2008 (edited) Some VERY interesting new games in production down in the Homebrew forum, I don't know how many of you pay a visit there daily. Jack and the Beanstalk http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=118991 Chris has been working almost non-stop on this one lately and has now finished with the second level and began work on the third. Been playing this one for days as he works on it andif you haven't played it you should give it a try. Circus Galacticus http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=136119 Jarod is putting together a futuristic style gladiator battle and this is also a very fun game to play even in incomplete condition. Dungeon http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=127378 A good D&D Style dungeon crawl which plays alot like an advanced Pirate. Cave In http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=116030 An adventure style Indiana Jonesish game which is VERY impressive and appears to be finished and just waiting on production of carts. Spider Game http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=135482 A good platformer in developement. Debro Pac-Man http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=81989 Dennis has managed to squeeze a good port of Pac into 4K and it looks and plays unbelievably well. Hack 'Em quality in the same size package as the thing which Atari and Tod Frye gave us. If I have left any games out I apologize, these are the ones I have been playing recently and which have captured my attention. Godzilla #2 Posted December 24, 2008 yea i love watching stuff in the homebrew forum, but i'm sure many who don't will appreciate this all-in-one repository of sorts. cave-in is my fave so far. kinda reminds me of an old 'exploring' arcade game where u had a whip, had a c=64 port and I can't remember the name... the home versions had nothing on the arcade game tho. (I usually prefer home versions )

sandmountainslim #17 Posted December 25, 2008 Amost forgot one of my most played of the new homebrew games. ZOMBIE CHASE http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=132344 It is a 2600 adaption of the arcade legend Death Race which works with either joystick or driving controller. Programmed by Batari himself. All it needs is a title screen. Wp
sandmountainslim #18 Posted December 25, 2008 Lot's of great new offerings out there. About the only thing missing is Fonz http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...st&p=854215 Too bad that so many programmers do not think themselves cool enough to attempt to bring Arcade's Golden Treasure to the small screen. Mayhem #19 Posted December 25, 2008 Lead, Dungeon and Juno First I'm especially looking forward to... though I do often just play ROMs on the CC2. If a game is THAT good, I don't mind buying it also. Ballblazer, if it gets finished, is really gonna be something...
Godzilla #20 Posted December 26, 2008 I'm amazed someone is tackling my number 1 game of all time on the 2600, sentinel/sentry... I hope they can figure out how to squeeze 10,000 levels into the game :-) I'm up to the 4,000s on my amiga...
+Nathan Strum #21 Posted December 26, 2008 Too bad that so many programmers do not think themselves cool enough to attempt to bring Arcade's Golden Treasure to the small screen. Perhaps Fonz's coolness is too lofty of a goal for mere mortals to attain. Maybe only Fonzie himself would be cool enough to program the game. But then, Fonzie would probably say, "Programming is for nerds", so he wouldn't program it in the first place. Hence the dilemma you're facing.
lucifershalo #22 Posted December 26, 2008 Matchie is quite an interesting cube/puzzle game it should be finished and put on cart.... Supercat, why no progress, got fed up?
Lendorien #23 Posted December 30, 2008 If Cave In came out on a cart, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. That game is really neat.
