goatdan #1 Posted September 9, 2002 Hello, I have been working on revising some of the prices in the GOAT Store, and I wanted to more accurately price some of the 2600 stuff. I figured that since everyone here collects it, this would be the best source for figuring out better prices for everything. What would fair prices for the following be? Atari 2600 six switch system w/ hookups Atari 2600 vader system w/ hookups Atari 2600 four switch woodgrain core Atari 2600 vader core Atari 2600 Jr core Coleco Gemini system with all hookups and controllers Telegames six switch core (heavy style) Thanks in advance! JCroniger #3 Posted September 9, 2002 I'd use Ebay as a comparison. I'm thinking that just the system with no carts is 25 to 30 dollars. You may want to throw in some commons.
Xot #4 Posted September 9, 2002 As a general rule, when I'm selling a 2600 system I don't diferentiate between models, although a Coleco Gemini would be the exception to that. Usually, I sell a system with a joystick and 10 commons for $25. If it's got paddles and a switch box it's $35.
oesii #5 Posted September 9, 2002 I'd agree with $20-30 for a nice system with all the hookups. For the core systems maybe $10-15. For the AtariJr I would probably expect the price to be a little less and for the Gemini maybe a little more especially if you have the controllers for it. If you are selling them for the store, adding 2 or 3 commons would be a good starting point to get a new atari person started for around $20-30, even Pacman and combat just to get the system up and running.
