Recommended Posts

I received : Operation Darkness and Army of 2 and got a 1600 point card. I also picked up Spectral Force 3 and Banjo Kazooie for myself.

I gave my girlfriend Viva Pinata 2 , a pink wireless controller and a 3 month Live Gold card.

I got a drum throne for RB/GH.

I also got Silent Hill 5, GTA4, Fable2, Fallout3, and Dead Space.

I think I will start with Dead Space simply because it is the only one of those titles that doesn't have a digit at the end. Silent Hill 5 will be savored. Fable2 I will get to when I get to. GTA4 and Fallout3 I am pretty sure will both be long term commitments. I did pretty well in the 360 area I think.

360 elite in the house. :D Came with Kung Fu Panda/Lego Indiana Jones. We also got Halo3 of course.

Question...we got a live gold membership. Now, my son and I use the 360 and boh have our own profiles. He can sign on to live with his, I can't. Do I need my own (second) subscription to go on live with my profile? Seems that way... :|

Yep, that sucks. We have 2 360's.. one for my son and an Elite for me ;)

We keep one live acct and transfer it between the 2 machines using a memory card. I wish there was another way :|

BTW: Anyone know if there is a "Black" XBOX360 wireless network adapter? I can't seem to find one. Yet, there ar epictures of them on ads and 3rd party ads as well.

There is a black wireless adapter.

Here it is...

My understanding is it was made for the original Xbox, but works with the 360 as well.

Yep. That came out for the original XBox a few months after the launch of Live. I used one with the original XBox a few years before X360 was released and I was really pleased with how well it worked. I can't attest to how well it works with the 360 but it should work great. Once you configure it with an XBox (or X360) including WEP key, if you have one, you can plug it into anything with an ethernet port and it will work as a wireless bridge. So it is actually useful for more than just XBox. You could use it to bridge a PS2 or DC (equipped with the ethernet addon) or anything else you might want to bridge to wireless and just switch it between devices as you need it.

Inifinite Undiscovery and finally got The Orange Box.

Also if you want to count a used copy of Syberia for the original Xbox, that as well. The rest went to other consoles or consisted of other items unrelated (even remotely) to the 360.

The Orange Box is about the most bang for the buck I have ever seen. I had already played through Half-Life 2 when I got it (on the 360 even as the XBox version was BC) but I played through it again to refresh myself and enjoy the improved graphics. Then I played through Episode 1 and Episode 2. Both were good but Episode 2 was a phenomenal experience. It was one of the best video game experiences I have had in a long time. It was action packed and kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through. Plus, the little bug lairs look really awesome. On top of that there is Portal which I assumed was just a cool puzzle game (and that was how it was presented purposely) but once you get into it you find yourself wrapped up in a great little plot. All in all there are many many hours of gameplay in there. If you are into multi-player and enjoy Team Fortress I would say it has an unending supply of gameplay.

Have fun with that. It is probably one of the best releases for 360.

This is comforting. I played Half-Life 2 on the Xbox last year before Christmas (Got my 360 then), and enjoyed it. I got into the game after stumbling across a blog with pictures from Chernobyl from a couple of years ago, and somewhere along the line a commenter posted a reference to Half-Life 2, so I had to check out the game. I plan on going through it again before stepping into the Episodes. As for Portal I've heard very good things about it. Same with Team Fortress 2, but I only have dialup and I only have a Silver account on the 360. It'll probably stay that way until I get high speed so a Gold account would be worth it. That or if I can find some friends with 360s and The Orange Box to do system link. That would work.

I picked up a few Rock Band 2 tracks. I got some Arcade games also: Castle Crashers, Braid, Tron, Ecco The Dolphin, New Rally-X, and Tempest. My Girlfriend picked up Indigo Prophecy which was an original XBOX game.

I got CC and Braid a month or so earlier, but oh well close enough.
