sandmountainslim #1 Posted December 29, 2008 ...literature wise etc. I know my Vader came new with an owner's manual, a game catalog, a Combat cart, a Pac-Man cart. Was there any more literature that came in the boxes with the consoles? Were the game catalog's only available with the consoles or were they given away with the purchase of games also? Help my memory on this if you would. Wp
AtariLeaf #2 Posted December 29, 2008 I have a "manual" specifically for the RF switch. Its the only one I've come across and I'm not sure which system it came with but IIRC its the 5200 (which I don't have) because I think it has the picture of that strange abomonation known as the 5200 RF switch. Philflound #3 Posted December 30, 2008 Game catalogs came with games. I'm not sure if all had them, but they're definitely in the boxes. There are many catalogs just for the Atari released games itself. I personally own 23 of them. The list from Digital Press, which I have in my giant list of variations at the very end has 31. Anything listed with a ? means I have never seen one. Phil
enyalives #4 Posted December 30, 2008 I remember getting my Atari 2600 back in 1979 I think it was and the game Combat is the only game that came with it. I remember being on a waiting list for Pac-man in 1981. Also it was $49.00 so you see game prices for todays game systems hasn't changed. I own two Atari 2600 systems and have the original box it came in.
