Inky #2 Posted September 9, 2002 Oh My God! And there are people complaining about Donkey Kong or Pac-Man... Greetings, Manuel Hey, I love Buck Rogers! It's oneo f the few 2600 games I can get 'into the zone' on... Made it to level 13 with about 850,000 points... And trying to find out why instead of saying 'Level 10' it says 'Level 8C' is part of the mystery! Buck is the most underrated on the console IMHO
DuckandCover #3 Posted September 9, 2002 I have to agree. I've always enjoyed Buck Rogers. A nice, fast-paced, straightforward space shoot 'em up. It's a blast at the later levels, when the action really speeds up. Now, if you want a BAD 2600 port by Sega, my vote would go to Congo Bongo... StanJr #4 Posted September 9, 2002 I like it a little too, but the collision detection is SO sloppy it gets to be potluck on the higher levels. Its still an alright game and I like the race against time aspect! Scale of 1-10? I'd give it a
Cybergoth #5 Posted September 10, 2002 Hi there! Aaargh! Anyone of you ever played ANY other version of the game? C64 for example? Greetings, Manuel
Tempest #6 Posted September 10, 2002 Yes I had it for my Atari 400, and I thought it was pretty good (way better than the 2600 version). I always loved how you could die and if your death explosion went through a pair of posts it would still count. I've beaten many levels as just an explosion! I also liked how the mother ships was different. There weren't two sides to destroy, you just had to hit it in the center. Of course hitting it anywhere else would bounce your shots back at you. Graphics were amazing for it's time.. but the game wasn't all that. :/
