nosacrifice #1 Posted December 31, 2008 Guys, i have a MAME Cabinet that I am setting up. On my 8bit and MAME games the emulators are able to show scanlines (on an LCD monitor to look like a TV). However, I'm having trouble getting this to work with Stella. Do you know if it is possible? Z26 can do it, but I can't reconfigure the START/RESET etc buttons and I don't want to have to pull out the keyboard everytime I want to run a 2600 game. Any help for this noob would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks! Currently, this can't be done. Stella doesn't yet offer any filters whatsoever because of the way user-interface elements are overlaid with the emulation image (basically, if any filters were enabled, it would filter the UI as well). The fix for this issue is a large part of the next release, which I'm releasing in January. However, I still won't have the filtering done for then. But, adding support for different filtering modes will now be much easier, and will hopefully come in the release after that. I just wanted to add to this that I might (and that's a big might) be able to add scanline filters for the next release. Now that the infrastructure is in place, and basic scanline filtering is relatively simple, it could possibly happen for the next release.
