What have you actually PLAYED? Weekly Top Ten for 2009

Recommended Posts

I picked up some Tandy Coco games recently and have been playing a lot of Downland and Canyon Climber. Probably an hour each per title in the past week.

OK, here are my times for this week:

The classic games (relevant for the Top 10):

Mario Bros. (early demo) (Colecovision)... 6 minutes

Wizard of Wor (2600)... 33 minutes (HSC game)

Jungle King (Arcade)... 27 minutes (HSC game)

The non-classic games (irrelevant for the Top 10):

Panda Restaurant (Online game)... 87 minutes in 2 sessions

Woobies (Online game)... 39 minutes (this is actually a Puzzle Bobble clone with the bubbles changed to Woobies)

Restaurant City (Facebook app)... 4 minutes (just to check if they added any new features)

VW Polo Cup (PC)... 31 minutes

Zuma (Online version)... 25 minutes

Farmville (Facebook app)... some hours (several sessions)

Top Restaurant (Facebook app)... several hours (several sessions)

Street Racing (Facebook app) (I think that's the title...)... about 30 minutes (several sessions)

Rollercoaster Tycoon (Facebook app)... several hours in several sessions

I decided to abandon all of the Facebook apps today... Rollercoaster Tycoon was the last one I tried, but somehow they are all alike, and I've got enough of that now. I didn't log the times for most of those games exactly because I already knew I wouldn't play them for too long.

E.T. - 30 minutes

Man, if I was keeping up with other systems, I'd be way into the hours. I love those lego games! But I just keep up with the 2600 for this topic.

Top Ten Trivia Question...

GORF has been logged on 3 different systems (2600, COLV, Arcade). Two games are tied for being played on the greatest number of different systems. Which games are they and how many systems have they been played on?

Bonus points if you can name the systems!

Atari 2600 add:

Boxing 35 minutes

Matchie 20 minutes

Avalanche 25 minutes

KO Cruiser 20 minutes

Activision Boxing and KO Cruiser.....two VCS boxing games programmed 29 years apart! Both very addictive games and each one with it's own merits. What other system can boast such achievements and quality in so long of a time span?? Viva Atari!

I would guess Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man on the 26, 52, 78, C64, NES, ColecoVision and Arcade.

4. Download (CoCo) 60

CoCo????

What is that a coffee maker?

I believe it's short for Tandy Color Computer from Radio Shack.

Good guesses! Ms. Pacman is correct (2600, 5200, 7800, Atari 8-bit, Arcade, C64, and ColecoVision) and you had 6 of the 7 systems. Great Job!

Pacman has been logged on the 2600, 5200, NES, Atari 8-bit, Arcade and Colecovision. I didn't count it on the 7800 since Pacman is part of Pacman Collection.

There are actually 2 more games that have been logged on 7 systems along with Ms. Pacman. Who can name them?
