A few months Back, i got the Game Yo! Noid off ebay. i found the game by watching the Irate Gamers review of the game. although the irate games bashed the hell out of this game, i think its great. it reminds me of mario in some ways because of the invisible power ups that you find by randomly throwing your yoyo. not to mention, its a lot alike because of the object of the game, trying to get through some tough levels, while avoiding enemies and jumping over some bottomless pits. another thing, the graphics are great for a game that came out on the NES. now, i will say this, the difficulty of this game is beyond insane, but with the game genie set on infinite lives, i managed to beat the game in three long days. some levels are easy, but some are hard (like level 4). i will go as far as saying its impossible to beat the game without dieing once, and nearly impossible to beat the game without getting game over. as the irate gamer says "expect to die often", probably the only thing he says in this review that i agree with. i beat yo noid a few levels at a time, i would beat the levels, and turn the NES off, then type in the code to start back on the next level after i beat the pizza eating contest on the previous one. but, i didnt skip any. otherwise i wouldnt have technically beat the game.

anyone else have an opinion on Yo! Noid?

I always liked the Noid character in the Dominos commercials (Claymation, I think). I even have a couple of the Noid "Gumby style" bendies. So, as a collector, I like the cart. Have to say after trying the game, I haven't played it much. I'll have to try it with the Game Genie.

The game is a 'must-have', IMHO.

I bought the game when it first came out and always loved it. Still a favorite to this day. I've also never beat it.....it gets kinda tough towards the end.

It's by Capcom, is it not? Despite commercial tie-in games being notoriously bad, Capcom has put out very, very little crap.

I always loved this game as a kid, and it has a lot of good memories attached. It's really a pretty good game that gets unfairly judged because of it's main character. I finally went back and beat it last summer and it posed quite a challenge. Certainly a worthwhile experience.
