Interest Check: lots of Amiga Orig. Floppys and Manuals

Recommended Posts

I have probably a couple hundred (not sure how many exactly) original Amiga 500/1000-era original floppies and manuals, mostly for games. A lot of strategy/RPG type games, but some action/arcade stuff as well. Some I just have disks, others just the manual, but most are matching sets, most in very nice condition. Not too many boxes though.

Wondering if there's any interest in this stuff? If it seems there may be any value to this, I'll make the time soon to go through and catalog what I have then take offers. If no one here is interested, of course I'll look for some Amiga/retrocomputer forums to try as well. If no one's interested, all this will go uncatalogued for now I guess. No time to do it if no one cares.

Thanks!

Depending on what it is, I might be interested. Not so interested in apps, but I might be convinced to buy it as a lot if the price is right.

Well, I'm not really wanting to just "get rid of them". It's somewhat about space and just not really needing them, but it's also about getting a "fair" price for them. I'm just really not sure what Amiga stuff is worth or if there's any real interest at all. If they're just simply not worth anything at all, I'll just keep them. And I don't really have too many apps. It's almost all game stuff. We'll see if there's any more interest before I decide whether to make a list or not.

I know it's impossible to express definite interest when I can't even give a list of exact titles yet, just looking to see if there's general interest. They're buried in a crate under a lot of other crates (safely stored though), and don't want to be bothered to dig them all out if no one cares!

Yea, without a list it's hard to say what they are worth. Some sell for good money, some can be bought for next to nothing. Being that they are originals certainly won't hurt though, so my guess is there will be interest in them.

Personally, I'm not after any specific titles at the moment, but I will keep my eyes open for a list if you post one. If not, no biggie!

I have some interest too, but mainly at the 25-50 cents per piece level, since I may not have time to play the entire lot anyway. When I spend more, it's because I 'think' I'll play specific titles. You always get more parting stuff out individually, but then you get stuck with a bunch of loser titles nobody wants, even in bulk.

Cool, thanks for the thoughts guys. I'll probably dig them out sometime in the next couple weeks here and take inventory to see what I have. It will probably make a lot more sense to part out the good stuff then sell the chaff as a lot just like with everything else. We'll see. Either way, I'll post it here on AA first, since you guys are the best and all ;)

Thanks again.
