Recommended Posts

I don't know jack about repros or making hardware/carts.

does anyone here have the ability to do this, and how much would it cost?

Ask Gorf to make it... Kidding.

What is Centipede-TB?

I love Centipede (my 3 yr old son is actually very good at it).

I love Centipede (my 3 yr old son is actually very good at it).

A while back, Kenfused (author of Beef Drop, B*nQ) posted a hacked version of 7800 Centipede taht works with the CX-80 Trak-ball in true trackball mode.

It's awesome. I would suggest even better than 5200 Centipede.

I was able to play it using the CC2, but I recently sold that, so I was wondering if a repro could be made and how difficult or expensive it would be.

Ideally, I love to learn how to do it myself, but if it's a big investment, a one-off cart might be the way to go.

try asking ShawnSr or Albert

Thanks, already talked to Shawn. completely reasonable.

But humor me - what would I need to build my own, how would I go about it?

Anyone?

I posted this before, but this is how I recycle common 7800 cartridges to put a 32k EPROMs on to one.

you will need a small eprom programmer, I use a Batronix BX32, as do several others on the AA site (steer well away from Willams and Top programmers as they are POS) The Batronix is really easy to use

The apropriate size eproms http://www.epromman.com/

Some sort of UV eprom eraser http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trk...-All-Categories

A .bin file to burn to the eprom

A PCB to solder the eprom onto

a cart shell to put the pcb into

Ok, that's awesome info. thanks.

Now one more question....

Is there a list of which games require which size/type EPROMS anywhere?
