I'm VERY fond of a lot of the Mario-related DK games, but I didn't think they fit with the spirit of the list. Also, I didn't mention Mario 64 or Mario Galaxy, since I haven't played either enough to have a real opinion... yet.

yeah, i have not played through mario 64 - so i left it off, i'm sure it will get put on there in a few weeks though - sometimes it's nice to think about how many good games one franchise can have!

I have just started playing "thousand year door"........but even after only 1 hr of gametime i think i will be changing my list very soon!

I loved that game. TYD was great, and was pretty damn challenging, too (what Mario game ISN'T challenging). I had a lot of fun going through it, but man, that Pit of 100 Trials was just a little too much, and I never went through it.

I haven't played Galaxy enough yet to decide if it gets a place. This is just how I feel right this minute... SMB3 and World may find themselves on the list sometime, and I've just gotten SMRPG for the VC (never played it before), so I don't know about it. The top three are very definite, though.

super paper mario had a pit of 100 trials.....does TYD also have one...i am just about 3 hrs into TYD - has anyone pplayed through both of these and like to give a comparison?....
