So can I play PAL 2600 games on this? I don't know much of anything about modding Atari systems, so this is probably a stupid question, but I can still use the old RF box with it?

This should play PAL stuff just fine if you have a Commodore monitor or similar. Mine plays PAL on my flatscreen TV except the colors are a little off. A/V modded systems are great because you can hook them up to a video selector as well, I don't know what I would do with out them. $80 shipped for this is a great price also, I'm almost tempted to buy this one for a back up
