Parrothead #1 Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) Scored this today at the So Cal Swapmeets. I was actually taping a segment for our RetroGamingRoundup.com podcast titles Swap Meet LIVE! when I came across this classic gaming treasure. You can hear my reaction to this incredible find LIVE! as it happend on our premier podcast coming in February. This is probably something you won't ever see again. And, yes, these will be up for auction on ChaseTheChuckwagon.com very soon Edited January 17, 2009 by Parrothead

AtariLeaf #6 Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) I get the "x" but I get the pic when I click on it. You'll have to explain to me what it is. Whats a "select-a-game machine"? Edited January 17, 2009 by AtariLeaf

Parrothead #10 Posted January 18, 2009 (edited) No pic, no x, but I'm assuming you got an Entex machine? Nice!! EDIT: Oh, wow! It loaded after I posted...I didn't expect you to have gotten all those games in their boxes! Ya, I crapped myself. Can't wait till all you guys hear my reaction as I was mic'ed up at the time. I know this guy has boxed, sealed Adverturvisions in his warehouse too. I can't wait to get in there and see this gold mine he is sitting on. I made the vendor, who is an old geezer, a deal a couple months ago when I picked more of these up for $1 (yes, that is what he was selling them for). I ended up telling him a few weeks after about how I made a killing with them - turning my $4 investment into about $800. And I said if he had more of that "entex" stuff I would make a deal with him. That being, you bring this stuff and let me know and then I will sell it and we can split the profits. So after a couple months, to my surprise today, I am digging through his stuff like I have done every weekend for years. Then he spots me and brings me to the back of his van and whips out this box today. So I am pretty sure we have an agreement now, that I will sell his stuff and we will split it 50/50. He has told me his warehouse is stacked to the ceiling and is about 2500 square feet. No light. He's had it for nearly 30 years and lots of the stuff hasn't seen the light of day since. And there are arcade games and pinball machines buried in there somewhere, he says. I shit you not. So next week I am going to give him his share of this - probably around $700 or $800 and then I am sure he will let me in there. That will be more money than he's probably made all last year at the swaps. And his warehouse is close to Compton, where Entex Company HQ was. Maybe he aquired a bunch of old stock when they shut down or something. Imaging if he has sealed shipping boxes filled with Adventurvisions in there? Unfreakin' believeable. All this will unfold live on our podcast. Stay tuned! Edited January 18, 2009 by Parrothead

jboypacman #14 Posted January 18, 2009 Am drooling over here i can't imagine what other treasures he has tucked away can't wait to see what else comes up from this guy.
King_Salamon #15 Posted January 19, 2009 Do you have to post in order to see the pic? Seems strange... I can't see any pics.
yuppicide #16 Posted January 19, 2009 I am guessing he deleted the photo. I never got to see it also. I'd have loved to see the look on my face when I found Tooth Protectors and about 6 or 7 other games in a "leather" (was it really leather) brown cart holder for $5. When I load the page, the pic doesn't show up, but refreshing the page with F5 for some reason causes the pic to load. I've never heard of whatever it is that he found, so I would be OK seeing the pic while standing up. Chris
