Godzilla #1 Posted January 19, 2009 Does anyone know what happened to this title? I used to be able to find information on it on atariage, now I can't find anything, I used to also be able to find it on stella list and now I can't find anything. Does anyone know where the binary is? I saw it long ago, but missed it. This post has one of the few references I've found left http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...7924&hl=rps Thanks
Albert #2 Posted January 19, 2009 RPS is fairly close to being done and I actually spoke to Billy Eno a few months ago about completing it. It's something he'd like to do, but real life (job, family, other hobbies) keeps him pretty busy. At this point I'm not sure when and if the game will be completed. I hope so, as it's a pretty amusing concept, the label is complete and even the manual is done. ..Al
Godzilla #3 Posted January 19, 2009 Yea, I love it. There's something awesome about using a video game to play a game that is so non-video. (yet the RPS mechanics underlie SO many current video games it's not even funny.) Do you know if there were any development roms out there? the '2600'ization' of the hand graphics were really funny and gave it a lot of character. godzillajoe #7 Posted January 20, 2009 OK that is awesomely stupid. And I sincerely mean that in a good way. I will definitely buy one if it's on a cart.
Godzilla #8 Posted January 20, 2009 I wonder if there will be a code to get the 'original' hand graphics in the game
moycon #9 Posted January 20, 2009 Are there any screen shots that compare the two versions of the hand?
+Propane13 #10 Posted January 20, 2009 I agree. I'd also like to see what's "at hand" with these 2 versions. -John
+Nathan Strum #11 Posted January 20, 2009 The new hand sprites have never been incorporated into the game (there are actually two new sets of hands, to tie-in with the back story in the manual). The manual is "mostly" finished, but I'll probably completely re-work the artwork, since I was never completely satisfied with it. It would be nice if this game saw the light of day. Bob Montgomery did some killer theme music for it. The whole thing is meant to be very tongue-in-cheek, and overly pretentious. "Awesomely Stupid" is very much on the mark.
famicommander #12 Posted January 20, 2009 If this game gets released, I have a feeling it will help settle many, many idiotic arguments between me and my friends.
Godzilla #13 Posted January 20, 2009 It needs to be like 'RPS tubo hyper fist jesus fever fighting edition" or something. ('hyper fist jesus fever' came from an online japanese video game name generator that was on the web long ago. I never forgot it.)
