Authentic lab loaner cartridges?

Recommended Posts

I was looking through Ebay's games and noticed the following description and picture:

"You're bidding on a legitimate lab loaner prototype Atari 2600 cartridge. The game featured here is Phoenix. The cartridge has been tested and is in good working order. It was originally owned by an editor of an old video game magazine from the early 80's. I am delving into my own personal video game collection and selling a few choice items."

Now, I am VERY wary of prototypes, especially since I read the thread recently here. I would like to know if lab loaners have any obvious signs that they are real. Here is the link:

Thanks in advance to any help or clues.

Those lab loaners are all real. I know the seller, and I actually got a chance to see them in person last year. I plan to go after the Polaris one myself.

Bid without fear! Just not on the Polaris proto... :D

I want that Polaris too. :D

But maybe I don't have enough money in the moment. So if this go to high I will not bid so much.
