flammingcowz #1 Posted January 27, 2009 When I turn on my atari, I also have to jiggle the power chord where it plugs in to the system. When the system is open and the power chord is plugged in, you can easily see the part it plugs in to being able to freely move as you move the power chord. Is there any way to fix this? Well if the boards adapter plug in is just loose then you could resolder it and it should be fine. If the adapter plug on the board itself has a problem with the casing then it can be fixed with an application of superglue. Have any pics? Especially of the plug in? AtariLeaf #4 Posted January 27, 2009 I have the same problem with a sears six switch unit. Resolding the jack should do the trick.
shadow460 #5 Posted January 27, 2009 I recommend resoldering the whole board while you're at it. I did that to my Sears HS, which was all but dead at the time. Now it loads on the first or second try every single time.
flammingcowz #6 Posted January 27, 2009 When you re-solder it, you flip the motherboard upside down and solder on the underside of the plug?
