CGQuarterly #51 Posted February 15, 2009 I just put up an article about the Punch-Out!! series on my website (which is new, and therefore basically empty at this point) if anyone is interested in reading it. LINK Chris Nice article, although in the NES section you say the duck move has been removed. It's there, you just have to press down twice quickly. I have been playing that game since I was 11 years old, and I NEVER knew that you could do that! You would think that at some point I would have at least done it by accident! I just fired the game up and tried it for the first time. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I will edit the article accordingly. Chris Isn't there an opponent in the NES version where you HAVE to duck? Yup, and that explains why I could never get past Soda Popinski! Chris
cat #52 Posted February 20, 2009 one of my favorite games in the world. i dedicated an entire week last year to beating mike tyson. after TIRELESSLY playing for 7 days, skipping class amongst other things, i FINALLY did. and i have never felt so good about beating a game in my life. top 5 games ever for me right here. gdement #53 Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) Isn't there an opponent in the NES version where you HAVE to duck? Yup, and that explains why I could never get past Soda Popinski! Chris I don't think it's required. I never used it and I made it to Tyson. It's possible it has a different delay though, which might be why some people find it useful. You can change the timing when you dodge - just push UP and he'll move back to center instead of hanging the dodge move for so long. fdurso224 #54 Posted March 10, 2009 Hi guys, I have a Mike Tyson's Punch-out display sign in mint condition. Any idea what's that with? Anthony..... YOU have a picture of the display sign? Hi guys, I finally took the picture of that Mike Tyson's Punch-Out display sign I was explaing about. I never saw another one out there since and I got this from a Kay-Bee toys store trash in 1987-1988. Any idea what's it worth? The picture is under in the "Atari 2600" forum and its under "The 2009 Hall of fame votes" 3 page. Anthony....
