CrazyImpmon #1 Posted September 13, 2002 ...before I lost the first life. I could never get past 1K before. It seems using plain joystick (any kind) isn't really good when compared to using a trackball. I didn't have an Atari version but I had Sega Sportspad trackball with joystick emulation mode switch. Turn the joystick mode on and it plays games like Centipede and even Reactor well. Just a FYI if you have a Sega Sportspad controller. If I can find my Missle Command, Centipede and Millipede, I'm about to really enjoy the near arcade gameplay. (PS anyone care to hack Kaboom for joystick use? Might do as well on trackball as Kaboom does on paddles.)
StanJr #2 Posted September 13, 2002 Diggity Dog Dank! I love Reactor, I always wanted it as a kid, but never even got to play it! I finally got it this past summer and dude, is it fun! My best score is 26K and change, but I don't really have much trouble with the joystick. What a great game!
Fretwobbler #3 Posted September 13, 2002 Kaboom joystick hack Would that work That would be like playing an emulator with just left and right, ive tried that but failed miserably. Adam
