Is Chuck Norris Superkicks finishable?

Recommended Posts

I swear this question was asked before, but in searching, I did not find the answer.

Is Chuck Norris Superkicks finishable?

I think the answer was no (that in the last room, they just keep coming at you and become less and less visible on screen).

But, if that's the case, has anyone checked the source code to see if there's a screen that theoretically would have been there for winners?

With the game hacked for invincibility, it is possible to get through far more enemies than would be even remotely plausible in an unhacked version. There is no level advance.

I've always run out of time on the last screen ("Inside the Monastery"). After enough hits, the ninjas appear so infrequently that it's entirely a matter of luck to hit them any more (seeing as they change direction while invisible). Maybe there's no win screen, but even so I'd like to know if this screen is beatable, even if it just freezes or loops back to the start. The manual states explicitly that "Your timing and intuitive senses are most important, for even though NINJA are camouflaged they can still be defeated!"

I'll only keep trying though if someone confirms that it can actually be done, and this isn't a nasty Xonox trick to keep you playing.

IIRC the ninjas stop appearing all together and you simply wait until the timer runs out. Sounds like the programmer didn't think anyone would ever get that far.
