Haha yea I hear you, especially in these times. However, if you add up what you spent on your 360, you'd be surprised how "cheap" the PS3 is. It's a great system once you get around to being able to buy it. Sorry to hear about your troubles though.... don't know why people were rude to you posting this..

 

Maybe it's just it's become such a common issue, people aren't even alarmed by it anymore. I can say for sure though, if something that I paid *that* much money for broke, I'd definitely be mad/sad. I guess most people don't keep systems for much more than 4-5 years, but for collectors, I think owning a 360 in the next 10-15 years will be very hard. Working ones may actually be worth a lot of money by then!

I assumed that meant.. ya know... non-freezing "crapped out". If it's just freezing or w/e, even my new Arcade with the HDMI port in the back froze a few times. Isn't that pretty common for a 360?

 

But hey, at least it didn't scratch the disk like the early models

That it is, but PG2 is an Xbox game, not a 360 game. Unless he was one of the 5 people who actually use the BC on the 360, and since the post wasn't made in the 360 forum. One might assume he was talking about his Xbox.

I actually used my 360 all the time to play battlefront 2, so I guess I didn't find that out of the ordinary. For his sake, I hope it's a regular xbox.. much much cheaper to replace!

IT was just a regular xbox....now somehow i feel better about ti though....thanks guys

 

 

it has the old 3 startup attempts then orange and red flashing lights on the front. I have (in the past) been able to repair this issue buy running a jumper on the system board from pin 5 of the LHC to the 101 chip...this time no luck

 

From what i have been reading though the 360 has it's on fair share of problems ...like that red ring issue, that hit a couple guys here at work

Bah... I love the 360 but I wouldn't consider the 360 to be an upgrade to the XBox. With a softmod (or chip in my case) the XBox stands alone from the 360. It is not replaceable.

I love my old consoles! No error code on screen...

 

I do have another Xbox that i am now using so project gotham 2 shall again be dominated....but the only thing better then a working Xbox is two working Xboxs.

 

 

It was like i lost a family member...i mean this was the machine i beat halo and halo 2 on. Back in our prime we were unstoppable. This other Xbox is great too, but we have not built up our relationship together - sigh - i guess i haven't learned to trust. As i play this new one the old one stares at me from the corner, i know it wishes me to go on with my life...somehow..one day at a time.

 

When it happened i was scared and confused..i came to this forum and you guys were there for me.....thanks guys
