Stella Snapshop Size..

Recommended Posts

My computer's resolution is set at 1280x1024, my Girlfriends 1024x768. I use Stella in Fullscreen.

When I take a screenshot with Stella it's 640x420. Is there a way to make it take larger size screenshots?

Stella takes snapshots at the size of the video mode in use. If it's generating 640x420 snapshots, that means you're using Zoom2X video mode. Currently, the only way to get a larger image is to run at a higher zoom level. Zoom3x will create 960x630 images, which will work on both computers. Zoom4X will create 1280x840, which will on the first computer, but not the second.

One side effect of this is the computer must be fast enough to run in the higher-res modes. This is where OpenGL mode comes in. Once you pass a certain resolution (which depends on your particular computer), it's much faster to use OpenGL mode.

Otherwise, if none of these are acceptable, turn on 'snapshot in 1x mode', which will always generate images in 320x210, and then resize them as necessary in some image editor (Photoshop, etc).

Thanks for the help. I got it to take shots in 1600x1050 now (5x).

Gonna see how I can blow it up without losing quality.
