jboypacman
I picked this up over at GameStop today for the super low price of $10! Has anyone else bought this yet for there DS?
BydoEmpire
I think I picked it up for $7 or so. I've enjoyed playing a few of times, though I haven't spent that much time with it. Worth he price for nostalgia alone, and I like that the "new" version didn't drastically change anything.
jboypacman
I felt the same about the "new" version has well.
cimerians
Its pretty cool. I also have the Wii version. I still almost rather play the original though.
Ze_ro
It really annoys me how you have to keep switching between the d-pad and stylus. If there were a way to do the "song matching game thing", and operate menus with a d-pad, I'd have enjoyed it a whole lot more. --Zero
joeybastard
I have it and really like it. It seems easier than I remember on the C64 though.
pinball22
I've spent unreasonably much time playing it (in the classic mode), and having spent an even more unreasonable amount of time playing the original over the last 25 years, yes, the DS version is definitely easier. Part of it is the robots -- while they can change behavior during the game in ways the original ones can't (which is initially startling) it turns out that any one particular robot is much more likely to act similarly from game to game, so you learn what to do about them, and which ones you need to save a snooze for, and don't end up test-dying like you do in the original. The parts that require careful walking are also easier, as soon as you realize that unlike the original, where you needed to scoot up until your toes were off the side of the platform, you actually need to stand back just a little from the edge. There's also a robot and a death sphere missing from the game, and the puzzles are always the same 36 pieces that go together the same way, so you can finish them much faster. One thing that does make the DS version slightly harder is that the simon rooms don't alternate giving you snoozes and lift inits -- each one only gives you one of them, and sometimes it's the same one for both rooms, which can make that particular game more literally impossible than it's supposed to be. Lauren Tyler
I picked it up a couple years ago, and I do enjoy it. It retains the classic gameplay with several new modes, including the enhanced one where you can be a guy, a gal, or a bot.
